Domain wholesale fees are set by the registries — NIXI for .in, Verisign for .com,
PIR for .org — and they raise them periodically. When that happens we pass through the actual
increase and nothing more, with at least 60 days' notice before your renewal. We will not use a registry
increase as cover for a margin increase. Hosting prices are unaffected by any of this.

Free transfer out
Want to leave? We release the auth code within one hour and charge nothing. Locking customers in with paperwork is not a business model.
Move a domain to us
Transferring adds a year to your registration, so you don't lose the time you've already paid for. It takes five to seven days, most of which is the registry's mandatory waiting period, not us.
- Unlock the domain at your current registrar and request the auth/EPP code.
- Make sure the WHOIS email on the domain is one you can actually read — the approval goes there.
- Start the transfer with us and pay the one-year transfer fee (same as the renewal price).
- Approve the confirmation email. The registry does the rest.

Identical to renewal pricing, and it extends your registration by a full year.

Plus 18% GST. A domain registered or transferred within the last 60 days cannot be transferred again — that's an ICANN rule, not ours.
Domain questions
Who actually owns the domain I register?
You do. You are listed as the registrant in the registry record, not us. Some Indian resellers register domains in their own name and hand you a login — that means you cannot move or sell the domain without their cooperation. We don't do that, and you can verify it in the public WHOIS the day you register.
What are the rules for .in and .co.in?
Both are open to anyone worldwide — no Indian residence or business registration required, unlike some country domains. .co.in is nominally for commercial use and .in is unrestricted, but NIXI does not enforce a distinction in practice.
What happens if I forget to renew?
We email you 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before expiry, and again on the day. After expiry the domain enters a 30-day grace period where you can renew at the normal price. After that comes a 30-day redemption period where the registry charges a recovery fee, typically ₹6,000–₹8,000, which we pass through at cost. After roughly 75 days it is released for anyone to register.

Do I need hosting to register a domain?
No. You can register a domain here and host it anywhere, or park it and decide later. We'll give you working DNS either way.
